Taelons, Jaridians and the Kimera.
After having once been one race...the Forebears, the Taelons took all the tech their Forebear predecessors stole from the Atavus and split, leaving nothing for their sister race, the Jaridians. (Look, not all of this was actually In the show so to learn my theory please click The Jaridians eventually developed their own technology, including cloaking devices and the Sokara-class Cruiser. I guess they did not obtain I.D. tech until Lili came because they sent these living probes called Replicants to study the Earth and relay back to them when the Taelons came. The Taelons pretended to be our friends (but a few were sincere...namely Da'an, who would not betray his species and Ra'jel...the annoying Sire of the Synod or Commonality or whatever) but wanted to use us as subjects of their experiments and soldiers in their war to annihalate the Jaridians.

One notable Taelon was Ma'el...he came to Earth a thousand or so years before the rest of his species had even crossed into our solar system. He studied the humans, interviewed them and left laboratories and other objects of interest behind...including his corpse. My belief was that the humans were to find these hidden things when he thought they were mature enough as a species to seek them out. He had a warning for the other Taelons to stay away, which they ignored. He may have predicted this as he left behind a puzzle and somehow told the Taelons that their only hope for survival would be to join with the Jaridians. Several have already done so and I find it hard to believe that an entire race which is the result of two combined species would just perish, but we shall see during RP.
Two other notables, one Jaridian and one Kimera :
Vorjak was the mate Lili took when she went to Jaridia against her will. It was never stated in the show whether or not they were in a love marriage or a marriage of neccessity. He fathered the baby Ariel Marquette (now 4 I believe) Go to EFC click on Episode Guide and click Seasons 3 first and 4 second. (The only one I know specifically is "Forge of Creation")
Ha'Gel was a Taelon criminal forced into a chamber and shot out into space. It was never indicated in the show what crime he was guilty of though. He was released and used his chamelion abilities to take the forms of different men and mate with women...only the women died. He later took Sandoval's form and mated with Lt. Beckett and a son was born...go to EFC and go to episode guide, then to Season 2 and click Episode 101 "First of Its Kind" to find out more...
The Atavus:
The Atavus came to Earth and used the local life forms as sources of energy (if you want to know my theory then click but remember only a tiny bit of it is Directly from the show). That was Howlyn and his followers though. Those in sympathy with Yulyn's deceased mother and Yulyn's beliefs found a way to hide Yulyn on a little island we humans named Easter Island. I guess Howlyn lost interest in him because he never spoke of him or anything until they were face to face twice before Howlyn was killed by his first officer Jaylis, who apparently wanted the throne for himself as he tried to kill Yulyn next...as for the rest, I will not spoil the ending...either pay for whatever DVD's are available in your region or pay the Download fee and download it Legally. Howlyn got angry with one of his comcubines and cast her out. Her name was N'heema and it is unclear just What they got angry about. (My theory is he was paying more attention to Juda than he was to her.) There was another notable Atavus whose human name was Askhenaton. It was suspected that he was an extraterrestrial of some sort before two and two were put together. Apparently he had these jewels in his golden mask that contain the power to locate every hive on Earth.
